During the crisis, this helped them not to close down, but to grow into an international business.
How did it all begin?
The Nimax internet marketing agency was founded by industry email list friends and then business partners Nikita Mikheenkov and Maxim Konovalov. The company name was simply a combination of the first letters of their names.
In the early 2000s, the Internet was not yet so widespread and the idea of creating an agency was unusual. However, it was already clear that the Internet was the future, and the friends began to actively study web development.
At first, the partners made several websites for revolutionizing the b2b sales funnel with crm: a game changer for small businesses non-profit organizations to build a good portfolio. In 2002, the first commercial customer appeared – a manufacturer of medical equipment. He brought the next customer, and this started word of mouth.
Development path: from the first commercial orders to IT giants of the Russian market
The first ten years of the company were a time of searching for specialization. The wider the market became, the more tasks appeared, and the agency needed to decide on the direction of activity.
At first, the Nimax team was only engaged in creating trust review websites from scratch. Gradually, it became clear that clients needed more services and were ready to trust developers with online promotion and reputation management. So the Nimax team gradually expanded the list of services, including performance marketing, communication projects, and branding in its arsenal. Development also remained, but the level of projects changed. Now the agency deals not just with websites, but with the creation of complex products.
Over time, the buyer profile began to emerge: Nimax began to work a lot in the IT sector and promote new products.
