The CTR in the Netherlands
In the Netherlands, the average CTR on position 1 on desktop is 26.46% and on mobile 25.68%. The gap to position 2 is the largest, after that the differences become smaller.

The CTR in Belgium
In Belgium, the average CTR on position 1 on desktop is 28.19% and on mobile 26.92%. It is striking european union email list that on almost all positions, both on desktop and mobile, the CTR is higher than in the Netherlands.

Where do differences come from?
A key difference from last year is that this year, like in 2023, we did research on Q4 data. In 2024, we analyzed data from Q1, seasonal trends can play a role. Although we analyzed much less data in 2023, the CTR on desktop in 2023 was 28.84% and on mobile 27.26%.
The difference with Belgium can be partly explained by the accounts in the dataset. To make a 100% fair comparison, you need to compare an equal number of accounts that come from the same industry. What can also play a role here is the competition / presence of advertisements on the SERP.
